Continuing Education Projects in Syria
In light of increasingly strict EU entry requirements, medipalestine supports the professional development of young doctors locally within Syria.
Dr. Raffael Attallah is a renowned specialist in prenatal diagnostics in Damascus and an experienced trainer. Since 2023, on behalf of medipalestine, he has offered at least one continuing education course per month for Syrian physicians and provides opportunities for observerships at his private practice. In return, medipalestine contributes to the purchase of an ultrasound machine, enabling the doctor to establish and expand his own practice.
Prof. Dr. Mayada Roumieh, former Medical Director and Head of the University Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in Damascus, has, since 2024 and also commissioned by medipalestine, been offering at least one monthly continuing education course for Syrian doctors, along with observership opportunities at her private practice. In exchange, medipalestine supports the purchase of an ultrasound device, allowing the former chief physician to build and sustain her own private clinic.
